It's Officially Spring!

I often sit and fantasize about remodeling, redecorating and just spending money on new stuff. Often is every 2 out of 3 minutes, right????

I wonder if it's the Spring Cleaning that's got me going more than normal? Or could it be that I sat and counted at least 10 moves in my childhood. I was always 'blessed' to get to redecorate and start from scratch in a new bedroom.

Will and I have been in this house since October 2004. I think this is like a lifetime record for me! I've had the same furniture and decor since at least February 2005, when the sale of our other house was final and I could reap the benefits of buying brand new goodies.

Now I had a couple of kids in there and got to redecorate a nursery a few times... but now I've got nothing to do.

I've been selling off items (mostly pots and plants) in the back yard all week. In fact, I sold the last 7 pots I intend to get rid of at the moment yesterday. But now what? We don't have the 20k or whatever it will take to relandscape the backyard?

Last year I dug up a planting box and lined it before throwing a ton of sand in for the kids... but now I want a wooden play structure, a log house, a pool, new plants, new decor. Money anyone? Would anyone like to share their million with me?

I have been so tempted the past few days to beat the shit out of this 'greenhouse' so that I can make a base for the kids and give them a larger play area. Isn't it fugly? Yuck, good Lord this thing is ugly.

The people that lived here before did NOT have kids... there are like 50 rose bushes out there and dirt. Tons. of. just. dirt. I hate it. I mean, it's pretty, but so not kid friendly. The yard is nothing like I would do anyways... so not my style, taste or setup.

The kids and I make some good of it anyways. Here there are officially in "Spring" clothes and having a blast!

Besides... my favorite part of Spring bloomed a few weeks ago. Calla Lillies are my favorite flower. AND I get the joy of driving by this bunch everytime I leave and enter my house, they're RIGHT by my garage. :)
